It was 60 years ago today that Ina and Bob Pickard exchanged wedding vows in front of 200 family and friends. They were married on March 25, 1961, at a country club in Sherman Oaks, California.
Ina and Bob have two daughters, Cindy and Tami, and three grandchildren. “And one mouthy dog named Luna,” Ina said.
The Pickards relocated from Banning to Canyon Lake in 2003. Bob, a former manager at Maddox Sales, retired when the couple moved to Canyon Lake. He came out of retirement to work at Storm Stadium for 10 years. He is happily retired, again.
Ina, a former court reporter, retired from her job in 2004 but continued to work as a freelance proofreader until 2019.
Ina and Bob are avid golfers. Ina is the president of the Women’s Golf Club and Bob is a member of the Men’s Golf Club. Bob is also a member of the Tuesday Work Group, a group of volunteer golfers who work with the POA to develop improvement projects that enhance the golf course.
The Pickards are also members of the Roadrunners Club and enjoy traveling in their RV.
Ina and Bob plan to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a trip to Mesquite, Nevada, where they plan to play many rounds of golf.
