Canyon Lake Mayor Kasey Castillo and Mayor Pro Tem Jeremy Smith attended the League of California Cities Annual Conference September 22 through September 24 in Sacramento.

“They are spending the week educating themselves on local, regional, and statewide issues that affect Canyon Lake residents so that they continue to advocate for the needs and interests of the community at all levels of government,” the city said.

The League of California Cities is an association of California city officials who work together to enhance their knowledge and skills, exchange information, and combine resources so that they may influence policy decisions that affect cities.

Registration and expenses for attendance at the conference were included in the city’s fiscal year 2021/2022 budget.
