City of Menifee adds celebrity meet and greet to annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

The City of Menifee added a celebrity meet and greet to the lineup of festivities at the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. This free community event will be held on Saturday, December 4, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Mt. San Jacinto College, 28237 La Piedra Rd.

Football League (NFL) Alumni Group guests Travis Davis, Sherman Cocroft, and Paul Bartelt are joining the holiday festivities. Attendees can toss a football and hear about the former NFL players’ journeys from their youthhood to the NFL.

Attendees can also stop by to chat with and receive autographs from Comedy Central comedian and BizMeetz founder/CEO Rocky Osborn, as well as professional golfer, JS Golf Enterprises founder, and 2017 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Awardee Jaime A. Sanchez Jr.

The event includes a community parade, visits with Santa, entertainment, food and craft vendors, games, crafts for kids, a lighted wonderland with numerous photo opportunities, and snow for sliding.

This year, the city is teaming up with the Menifee Valley Community Cupboard and Menifee Police Department to collect food and gift donations for Menifee families in need.

For admission to the snow area, residents are asked to bring either canned good items to be donated to the Menifee Valley Community Cupboard and/or an unwrapped gift to be donated to Santa’s Workshop. The first 500 guests will receive a free ornament.
