Donna Lovejoy is a member of the Canyon Lake Emergency Preparedness Committee, Car Club, Woman’s Club, Yacht Club, Travel Club, and Family Matters Club.

Donna joined the Canyon Lake Emergency Preparedness Committee in 2004. She is a certified HAM radio operator and a CERT, EOC, and shelter volunteer with the Red Cross.

Donna has been a member of the Car Club for the past five years and has helped to organize the garage tour, October picnic, Christmas dinner, car show dinner dance, and the food for the drive-in movies. She currently serves as the club’s hospitality chairman. Her volunteer work within the club was recognized in 2016 when she was presented with the Volunteer of the Year Award.

Donna is the current president of the Family Matters Club. She served as vice president last year and has helped to organize several community events.

A love for children and reading led Donna to volunteer as a reading teacher at Tuscany Hills Elementary School for two years.

Donna said that volunteer work gives her a sense of community and satisfaction. “I’m always willing to help where I’m needed,” she said. “If someone asks me to help, I jump in and do as much as I can”

Donna and her husband, Perry Beggs, relocated from Menifee to Canyon Lake in 2004. They’ve been married for 19 years and share two daughters and four grandsons.
