Nine local businesses teamed up to help Santa deliver letters and toys to Canyon Lake kids. Children were invited to submit a letter and their wish list to Santa via the “Letters to Santa” mailbox on the corner of Canyon Lake Drive North and Spray Drive.
Children who submitted their letters between November 26 and December 15 and included a return address received a toy, letter, and reindeer food personally delivered by Santa, Santa’s elves, or both.
Many of the children received a specific toy they listed on their wish list. The toys were personally delivered with the help of Canyon Lake business owners Betty and Mike Simms of Real Deal, Veronica and Johnny Juarez of Patriotic Arms, Kelly and Steve Hauger of Hauger Plumbing, and Tricia and Craig Brown of Lake Lyf.
The group delivered between 100 and 150 gifts. “It was great to see all smiles on the kids’ faces when we gave them their gifts,” said Johnny Juarez. “We hope to make this a tradition and do it again next year.”
This event was sponsored by Patriotic Arms of Canyon Lake, Lake Lyf of Canyon Lake, Bradley Morton of Canyon Lake Coldwell Banker, Real Deals of Canyon Lake, Hauger Plumbing of Canyon Lake, Daisy Dukez of Canyon Lake, Mr. Stix Moving of Canyon Lake, American Cancer Fighter of Canyon Lake, and Canyon Hills Plumbing of Lake Elsinore.
